The Opportunity:

JNTC Careers is seeking experienced engineering professionals  focused in Aerospace Engineering. 

Client is an industry leader and manufacturer of high quality video cameras for aerospace/defense, traffic, wafer inspection, and other machine vision applications. The Engineer will work closely with management, senior engineering, and technical staff to ensure designs are verified efficiently with high fault coverage, resulting in high quality camera products designed for testability and manufacturability.  The Engineer will also provide technical and project leadership for product development execution.

Descriptive Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include design, implementation, debug, and support of embedded software and application software for vision cameras used for machine vision and traffic solutions. 

This function will be involved and has responsibilities with the following:

• Algorithms for image processing, pattern recognition, pattern matching, video signal processing
• Windows GUI
• System partitioning (software, firmware and hardware)
• Micro-controller compiler environment
• RTOS
• CCD and CMOS camera software design

Will develop and maintain detailed Camera Software architecture,  design,  and interface specifications

Technical Requirements:

• Must have strong software architecture, design, programming and debug skills, attention to detail, and experience developing embedded and application software. 
• Strong knowledge of Matlab for image processing and algorithm development
• Positive attitude for R&D, aggressive, dedicated and self motivated
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and C# programming on Windows and Linux (Assembly language programming a plus)
• Code, test and integrate software
• Strong Object Oriented Design Experience
• Writing skills: Able to document designs and reports in a clear and concise manner
• Operating style: Hands-on, action-oriented, with good analytical and experimental work habits

Candidate Qualifications & Competencies:

• Knowledge of Video signal processing
• Knowledge of or OCR (Optical Character Recognition) LPR (License Plate Reader) a plus
• Camera hardware system knowledge a plus
• Experienced with Software design flow & System partitioning (Software, Firmware, and Hardware)
• Good interaction with other team members in the development of specifications and project plan
• Effective in producing clearly written technical and non-technical product documentation
• Adhere to correct SW engineering processes, including design documentation and reviews, code reviews, and thorough unit testing
